Bringing Hope

to the World

[About Us]

Who We Are

River of Hope is a small, non-denominational church in Grand Forks, and we are affiliated with a larger network of churches throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. These churches, part of the Truebridge and Outfitters for Adventure networks, help provide us with support, accountability, and a wonderful group of friends and ‘extended church family.’ We are also connected with other networks of churches from around North America, and numerous overseas churches and missionaries.

What We Do

River of Hope Church seeks to glorify God by building up believers and reaching out to our community. We strive to help people find their purpose in life and place in God’s kingdom, and train and equip them to fulfill their life’s purpose. We also share God’s love & plan of redemption with our community.

Our Services

If you visit us on a Sunday morning, you can anticipate:

our casual and relaxed environment,

the fun, live worship band,

a relevant sermon,

smiles and a warm welcome!

Our Pastor

David and Jenn George met while attending the University of MN Morris. Their third child, due in December, will join Annabelle and Michiah in making their home a joyous place of giggles, armadillos and love. The Georges started River of Hope in the summer of 2004, and purchased a house in Grand Forks in the fall of 2008.

David received his training as a pastor while living with Neil Thielke, who at the time served as senior pastor of Morris Community Church in Morris, MN. A landscape architect by trade, he currently teaches at NDSU in Fargo, ND, two days a week.
